I'm not sure if I didn't yet realize that one could buy quilt patterns or if I was just too cheap to actually purchase them.
But I did make this quilt for baby Lilly from an online photo. I believe the baby's grandmother was a quilter. I wonder what she though of my missing star points and lumpy binding?
I was pleased with the bright colors though.
Hand quilted.

When it was time to make something for baby Kayla, instead of a quilt, I decided to try out a new crochet gadget I'd bought - called a "cro-hook" . It was a big long crochet needle with a hook on both ends.
I can't remember how to use it now - but it did make nice thick stitches and a sturdy afghan.

This quilt was for Baby Ella, born in 2006. I was ready to try a softer, more feminine look, even though I did use a lot of brights too. Hand quilted.

The only quilt I made in 2007 was this sail boat quit for baby Daniel. I think sailboats are just right for a boy quilt.
I hand quilted this one too. Not a lot of quilting I think just outlining the boats.
I guess there must have been a pause in arriving babies that year!
