don't look if you are squeamish!

Gross picture, I know, but weird. How did this mouse eat the bait and then get his butt caught in the trap?

To make matters worse the trap tumbled down the side of the basement stairs and I didn't even think about it being 'missing' for a couple of days. I had to go down there and search for it. I think maybe his friends were snacking around on him in the meantime. Eek!
