junior's new hammock

My younger son got this new hammock for sleeping overnight on hiking or fishing trips. It is made of ripstop
nylon so its very strong and light weight.

It looks like a big banana doesn't it?

He put it up to show how quick it can be done.  Just loop these straps around two trees...high enough to keep the hammock off the ground.

Then hook the carabiner on the strap of the hammock and also in one of the loops in the tree strap. If you need to raise it a bit - just hook into a higher loop.

Here he is inside!  If you want it to be opened up more, then you lay more diagonally to spread the sides.
Junior said he has set it up outside at his house and taken a nap in it. Pretty comfy, he thought...more so than sleeping in a tent on the ground.

Lonnie and I hopped in (separately) to see what it was like. I have to say Lonnie doesn't exactly look relaxed in there! I believe he is worried it will roll and flip him out!

How do  you get back out? Junior told us to put our feet out ...flat on the ground. Then start walking backward (with your butt still in the hammock). you will arrive at a standing position and can  just walk away.

It's a pretty nice design!
