more about those red dresses

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I constructed a dress on a wire form for a table centerpiece for a "Women's Go Red"  luncheon? ( This event raises funds for, and focuses on women's heart health.)

Everyone who made a dress was invited to a "Preview Party", along with organizers and sponsors. This was at Hurstbourne Country Club.

They had set up all the Dresses for us to look at and take pictures.

Some people got very creative! These are a couple of my favorites..

And here is mine...it has gotten a little smashed and misshapen since I turned it in. She needs her skirt fluffed back out a little!

This one below  won a prize of some sort.

They had this nice spread of  ho rs devours....  horse devers  ....snacks set up for us...fruit,cheese, grilled veggie slices, hummus, flat bread, chicken breast strips, and some sort of mysterious fishy tasting fritter things. All you can pile onto a 5" diameter plate! Of course you could get 2 plates or go back a second time...or stop at Taco Bell on the way home.

I met up with ladies from my group there. After we ate there were a couple people speaking about women's heart health. Apparently the luncheon (where the dresses will be table centerpieces) brings in $125 per person - and they already have over 900 people signed up.

I, of course, will NOT be attending that event!
