For the last couple of summers it's been giving us trouble when trying to start it. Last year we took it to the repair center and it started right up every time for them.
This year the problem is worse. My husband called the repair center to ask about replacing the starter. They actually talked him out of bringing it in...telling him he could do something or other with a screwdriver and start it that way.
Huh? Why ? Why not just fix it?
My younger son looked at it and went to a mower shop to order the starter. They told him the part is discontinued!
We thought we could limp by for the rest of the summer and take it in (somewhere) when grass cutting season is over...but I have wasted enough time sitting there cranking that thing.
It will start with a battery jump...so maybe the starter is not even the problem. Someone mentioned something about sensors at one point. Either way...something must be done!
